Facts about Cockroaches

1.  Cockroaches cause disease. The roaches in your house can contaminate your food with their poop, resulting in a serious case of food poisoning. Because cockroaches molt regularly, their discarded skin turns to dust and can become airborne, causing asthmatic reactions and other problems to people with respiratory issues.

2.  Cockroaches reproduce like crazy. During her one-year period of adulthood, a female roach lays an average of 150 to 400 eggs.

3.  Cockroaches tend to hang out in packs. While it’s possible for a lone cockroach to find its way into your home, if you spot more than one you likely have -- or are about to have -- a roach infestation.

4.  Cockroaches are tough. They are capable of survival with little or no food. They can even live underwater or without oxygen for short periods of time. As a result, it’s hard to get rid of them without strong chemicals.
